It’s the happiest week of the year!
It’s Book Blogger Appreciation Week (BBAW)! In honor of that, I’m sharing what my reading habits are like. The idea is to focus on one or two questions or to give a short answer for each. Since I’m a new book blogger, I’m opting for short answers, so you can get to know me better.
Do you snack while you read? If so, favorite reading snack?
Yes. Peppermint tea & popcorn.
Do you tend to mark your books as you read, or does the idea of
writing in books horrify you?
I love to leave little notes on the edges.
How do you keep your place while reading a book? Bookmark? Dog-ears?
Whatever is handy and functional.
Laying the book flat open?
Never. One side is usually bent around the back of the book.
Fiction, Non-fiction, or both?
I like both.
Hard copy or audiobooks?
Both. I love audiobooks, but I always want a hard copy to refer to if it’s for school or a review.
Are you a person who tends to read to the end of chapters, or are you
able to put a book down at any point?
End of the chapter.
If you come across an unfamiliar word, do you stop to look it up right away?
Occasionally. Usually, no.
What are you currently reading?
Dragon House by John Shors
What is the last book you bought?
That Old Cape Magic by Richard Russo
Are you the type of person that only reads one book at a time or can
you read more than one at a time?
Usually about three to five. It’s sad, really.
Do you have a favorite time of day and/or place to read?
At night before bed.
Do you prefer series books or stand alone books?
As long as it’s interesting, it doesn’t matter to me.
Is there a specific book or author that you find yourself recommending over and over?
The Help by Kathryn Stockett. Loved it!
How do you organize your books? (By genre, title, author’s last name, etc.?)
You’re supposed to organize them? JK…I organize by genre, then by author.
Well, that’s it for me. I’d love to hear your thoughts. Have you read any of the books I’ve mentioned? Did you like them? What are your reading habits like?
