A Special Thanks to Dewey #Readathon

October 24, 2009

This is my first year participating in Dewey’s Read-a-Thon, and it has been a great experience.  However, Dewey past away readathon5last year. I was very sad to read about that when I originally signed up. She has started such a wonderful tradition. I wonder if she even realized the difference that she made and continues to make. So, here’s to you Dewey. Thank you for starting such a wonderful event that we are still benefiting from today.

If you haven’t had a chance to read about Dewey, please read the tributes made to her below.

Here’s to Dewey!
Now that it’s past midnight and our eyes are drooping lower, it’s time for us night owls to get our second wind! So here is a big HOOT from Alabama. Keep on Reading!!!! Just a few more hours to go!!!!

Go Reading,Go Reading,Go Reading!!!

I’m sure Dewey would be thrilled to see what a grand event this has grown into.

I like your earlier mention of holing up in a hotel for the read-a-thon! What a great way to pamper yourself.
