Review Policy

This blog is a personal blog written and edited by me. For questions about this blog, please contact WinterWrite At Gmail Dot Com.

For the record
I write this blog because I love books, and I love to read.  I will always give my honest opinion, findings, beliefs, or experiences about the topics or books that I discuss. The views and opinions expressed on this blog are purely my own.

Pitches

I love to hear about new books and new authors! If you would like to send me a review copy, please contact me at WinterWrite At Gmail Dot Com. I cannot guarantee that I will be interested in the book, but if I am, I will let you know. If I do not respond to your email, it is either because I am not interested in the book or because I am unable to accept more review copies at the time. However, please feel free to contact me about any other books you think I may be interested in.

Where I get the books I review

The books I review on my blog have been purchased, borrowed, or were given or sent to me. I am also often sent free galleys and ARCs by authors, publishers, and publicists for me to read and review.  If I am interested in a book, I will read it and then review it on my blog. Occasionally, when I am very lucky, I win a free book giveaway from another blogger.

About how I am compensated

I do not get paid for reviews that appear on my blog. However, according to new guidelines set out by the FTCgalleys and ARCs that are sent to me to read are considered compensation that could influence my review.

In order to support the cost of hosting my site, I use affiliate links. When I review a book, I provide affiliate links to Amazon.com.  When my readers click on these links, I am compensated. I always appreciate a click through because it helps balance the cost of hosting my site.

I also try to link my reviews to the publisher or author’s website, if known.  However, these are often courtesy links, for which I receive no compensation.

How you can tell if I reviewed a book sent from a publisher, publicist, or author

As of October 12, 2009, if my book review is based on a review copy such as a galley or ARC that is sent from a publisher, publicist, or author, I will list the source of the book or mark it as a review copy. If I have failed to specify this for some reason, please assume that the review is based on a review copy.

Again

I will always give my honest opinion, findings, beliefs, or experiences about the topics or books that I discuss.
