Who is This Person Anyway?

My name is Sharla. I love books, reading, and editing.
I’ve been an avid reader for as long as I can remember.

I’m a senior in college where I’m majoring in English and
minoring in technical writing.  Hopefully, by fall of 2010,
I will be graduated and have a job. That’s the plan anyway.


When I tell people I’m into technical writing and editing, I usually get one of three responses:

1. How boring.
2. Run! She’s going to notice all of my writing mistakes.
3. Will you edit my stuff?

Whatever your response to technical writing and editing, don’t worry. This blog is about
my passion for books.  Don’t expect me to edit your writing, comments, twitters,  etc., unless you
send them to me specifically for that purpose.

On that note, this blog is a labor of love for me, so if you catch me making a writing mistake,
kindly overlook it. It happens. Unless it’s something embarrassing, then I would certainly appreciate
a comment.

OK, more about myself. I’m not a cook, but I try.  I’m married with two adorable, but furry,
children who are always nearby to keep my feet warm. There they are in the picture on the right.

I live in Utah. I like to travel, and I would love to relocate to the East coast someday. I enjoy writing and editing, and in between classes and blogging, I am working on my first novel.
